Jazz festival-New Orleans 2001



New Orleans is widely hailed as the birthplace of jazz, so it's only appropriate that it becomes a musical mecca during the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Of course, jazz isn't the only offering: Blues, Cajun, rock, Latin, hip-hop, zydeco and many other styles are also represented at Jazz Fest. The Fair Grounds are packed with music and food-lovers hiding from the sun in funky hats and filling up with boiled crawfish, alligator sausage and jambalaya. People dancing in the trampled grass or sitting, taking in the sights and sounds, enjoy seven days of festive food, original art and some of the best music on the planet.
